The Clearinghouse web site received its first award on November 28, 1997 as Starting Point named us its Investment category's "Hot Site of the Day."

     Launched in March of 1996, The Direct Purchase Plan Clearinghouse was created through a joint venture between Shareholder Communications Corporation and the DRIP Investor Newsletter. With the rapid growth of companies offering Direct Stock Purchase Plans, we realized that the individual investor would benefit by supplying them with a single source where they can request prospectuses and enrollment materials for these Plans, absolutely free of charge.

     Originally with its toll free number, (800) 774-4117, interested investors could request materials for multiple companies during a single phone call. No longer did investors have to research and find out each company's phone number and then make separate calls for each Plan. The Clearinghouse provides investors with one stop shopping for Direct Purchase Plans.

     The meteoric growth of the internet has created the demand for such a resource that can be accessed on-line. With our web site, we make it even easier for investors to request information and enrollment materials to purchase stock directly, as well as providing investors with additional company information. The site features a short description of each participating company, a link to useful stock information (including free news and quotes), as well as pertinent Plan information.

     This site is far from complete, as we hope to offer not only more Direct Purchase Plans, but also more features to help you make intelligent investment decisions in the future. After all, we beleive that every share counts.
